Pettipants

Pettipants are a type of Lingerie worn by women. They are not considered a modern or popular category, and are most likely to be worn by dancers such as Square Dancers. Pettipants are much like shorts in dimension, though they maybe made from material such as cotton and lace, and also have ruffles.

Usually worn under Skirts, Dresses, culottes, or walking shorts for modesty. pettipants won't ride up and eliminate hot-weather chafing. Pettipants are available in different lengths upto knee length.
