Pooyan is a Persian name for a male. It means a person who explores new ideas.
Pooyan is also Japanese for 'little pigs'.
Pooyan is also the name of an old arcade game manufactured by Stern Electronics under license from Konami in 1982. In it, the player controls a pig whose babies have been kidnapped by a group of wolves. Pooyan was also released for the Atari 2600, Atari 8-bit family, Commodore 64, MSX, Apple II, and the Nintendo Family Computer.
Mama Pig defends her home and rescues her piglets riding an elevator car, using a bow and arrow and slabs of meat against balloon-riding wolves.
