Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX) is a Fortune 300 company. It is the largest supplier of industrial gases in North and South America, as well as one of the largest worldwide. The company's revenue in 2006 was US$8.3 billion. Founded in 1907,is a direct descendant of Union Carbide's Linde Division. Praxair is headquartered in Danbury, Connecticut.
Steve Angel became Chairman of Praxair, Inc. on May 1, 2007. He had been president and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since January 1, 2007.
Praxair has 27,000 employees and operates in 40 countries.
