So far in the premier league this season Manchester United sit pretty at the top of the table with 41 points from 16 games, Chelsea following them with 35 points having played 15 matches. Arsenal, Portsmouth, Liverpool and Reading all hold 25 points at 3rd to 6th place with Reading and Arsenal with a game in hand. Bolton, Aston Villa and Everton are close behind with 24 having all played 15, holding 7th-9th place. In the relegation battle, Watford and Charlton share nine points, Charlton having played 15, Watford 14 with Newcastle just above with 13 points from 14 games
