His Serene Highness Prince Ernst von Hohenberg (Ernst Alfons Franz Ignaz Joseph Maria Anton) (17 May 1904 - 5 March 1954) was the youngest son of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his morganatic wife Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg.

Ernst was born at his parents' estate at Konopiště in Bohemia.

Following the assassination of their parents, Ernst, his sister Sophie, and their brother Maximilian were taken in by their father's close friend and shooting partner Prince Jaroslav von Thun und Hohenstein.

In late 1918, their properties in Czechoslovakia, including Konopiště and Chlumec nad Cidlinou, were confiscated. The children moved to Vienna and Schloß Artstetten.

Ernst married Marie-Therese Wood on 25 May 1936; the couple had two children:

  • HSH Prince Franz Ferdinand Maximilian Georg Ernst Maria Josef Zacharius Ignaz von Hohenberg (14 March 1937 - 8 August 1978); married Heide Zechling and had issue:
    • HSH Prince Franz Ferdinand Karl Georg Ernst von Hohenberg (24 May 1969; still living); married Christiane Pirker, no issue.
  • HSH Prince Ernst Georg Elemer Albert Josef Antonius Peregrinus Rupertus Maria von Hohenberg (born 1 March 1944; still living); married Patricia Anette Caesar and had issue:
    • HSH Princess Eva Anne Maria von Hohenburg (1 December 1974); still living)

In 1938, following the Anschluss the family were arrested. They were sent to Dachau concentration camp where they spent the next seven years. Their Austrian properties were confiscated in 1939 but were returned in 1945.

Ernst died at Graz in Austria in 1954.
