Prix Maurice de Gheest

The Prix Maurice de Gheest is a Group 1 flat horse race in France for three-year-old and above thoroughbreds run over a distance of 1,300 metres (approximately 6½ furlongs) at Deauville Racecourse in August.

It was first run in 1922 and was named in memory of Maurice de Gheest, a leading figure in French racing who died in 1920. The race attained Group 1 status in 1995.
