Pu'er City

Pu'er (普洱, Pinyin: Pǔěr) formerly known as Simao (Chinese: 思茅; pinyin: Sīmáo; Hani: Siilmaoq) is a prefecture-level city in Southern Yunnan province of the People's Republic of China.
Pu'er is near the border with Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar (Burma).
The urban administrative center of Pu'er is Simao District, which is also the former name of the city itself.
