Minnesota Public Television

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Minnesota Public Television is a loose affiliation between several PBS television stations in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It is primarily used to distribute Twin Cities Public Television's political program Almanac, though other political and news shows have been distributed through the system, including the discontinued nightly statewide news program, NewsNight Minnesota. It also tries to keep state funding for public television in the Minnesota budget.

Member stations, in addition to Twin Cities Public Television, appear to include Pioneer Public Television in southwest and west-central Minnesota, KSMQ in Austin, Lakeland Public Television serving Bemidji and Brainerd, WDSE in Duluth, and North Dakota-based Prairie Public Television's stations KFME Fargo and KGFE Grand Forks, serving the northwestern part of Minnesota.
