Qazi Anwar Husain or Vidyut Mitra (pen Name) is an author, publisher and translator from Bangladesh.

Anwar Hussain's father was a well known scientist and author, Qazi Motahar Hussain, the national professor. Anwar grew up in a literary environment. His family member writers are, Qazi Mahbub Hussain, Qazi Maimur Hussain, Qazi Shahnur Hussain. Anwar Hussain's wife is a famous singer.

He got his Master's Degree in Bangla literature and language from the University of Dhaka. In the middle of 1960, he started a paperback publishing house called Sheba Prokashoni. The publishing house is credited with publishing works of world literature, as well as original work.

At first, Sheba meant Segun Garden, as well as service. Later, It meant only service. From the beginning, Sheba or Anwar Hussain looked at three points, easiest writing, extra branchless story and after all, the cheapest price. In 1971, the Pakistani militants burnt sheba. Sheba gave birth to many successful writers as Rakib Hasan, Samsuddin Nawab, Khosru Chowdhury, Tipu Kibriya, Anish Das Opu and many others. Sheba's Sister concern is Projapoti, the hard bound publishere.

He created the adult spy-thriller series Masud Rana, modeled after James Bond. There are more then 350 books in this series which has gained a lot of popularity in Bangladesh]].

Rana, a spy, a former Major of the Bangladesh Army continues mission all over the world. His boss is Major General Rahat Khan of Bangladesh COunter Intellegence. Rana works with Rana Agency.
