RPM Productions

RPM Productions is licensed by the Miss Universe Organization to produce the Miss Louisiana USA, Miss Louisiana Teen USA, Miss North Carolina USA, Miss North Carolina Teen USA, Miss South Carolina USA and Miss South Carolina Teen USA pageants.

The company President is Paula Miles, sister of Janice McDonald who was Miss South Carolina USA 1979. Miles was given the opportunity to produce the South Carolina pageant in 1980, gained the Louisiana franchise in 1990 and North Carolina in 1992.

RPM has been one of the most successful directorial groups in Miss USA history. Their first titleholder, Miss South Carolina USA 1980 Shawn Weatherly won both the Miss USA and Miss Universe titles.

RPMs best year was arguably 2004, when Amanda Pennekamp (SC) placed 1st-runner up to Miss USA, Ashley Puleo (NC) placed 2nd runner-up to Miss USA, Shelley Hennig (LA) won Miss Teen USA and Lindsey Sporrer (SC) was a semi-finalist at Miss Teen USA.

Between May 2005 and August 2005 both Miss USA (Chelsea Cooley) and Miss Teen USA (Shelley Hennig) were from RPM states.
