Rawang, Malaysia

Rawang is a town in the district of Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia. It was the district capital until 1997. This is a developing town.

To reach the town centre, one must drive about 25 minutes from Kuala Lumpur city centre during non-peak hours. One can choose to take a highway or the trunk road to Rawang. On the trunk road, the passengers can get to witness the beautiful green sceneries as it passes by the Templer's Park. It is one of the reserved forest in Malaysia and hot spot for jungle trekking and camping.

Meanwhile, Rawang town is currently experiencing steep development. Many new shops and houses are are currently being constructed. Recently, a new central market has been opened to meet the increasing demand from the population.
