Richard Boyle, 9th Earl of Cork

Richard Edmund St Lawrence Boyle, 9th Earl of Cork and 9th Earl of Orrery, K.P., (April 19, 1829 – June 22, 1904) was a Member of Parliament for Frome (1854–1856), a member of the Privy Council of the United Kingdom, A.D.C., to Queen Victoria (1889–1899), Lord Lieutenant of Somerset, and Colonel of the North Somerset Yeomanry.
In 1882 he was appointed one of the Speakers of the House of Lords, and in 1886 and 1894–95 he served as Master of the Horse. He was Master of the Buckhounds in 1866, 1868–1874, and 1880 to 1885.
He was the son of Charles Boyle, Viscount Dungarvan and a grandson of Edmund Boyle, 8th Earl of Cork, and married Emily Charlotte de Burgh (d. October 10, 1912), second daughter of Ulick John de Burgh, 1st Marquess of Clanricarde, K.P., on July 20, 1853. They had issue, of whom:
- Lady Emily Harriet Catherine Boyle (c. 1855–1931)
- Lady Grace Elizabeth Boyle (c. 1858–1935), married Francis Thornhill Baring, 1st Baron Northbrook and had issue.
- Lady Honora Janet Boyle (c. 1859–1953), married Robert Kirkman Hodgson, D.L., with issue.
- Lady Isabel Lettice Theodosia Boyle (d. 1904) James Walker Larnach and had issue.
- Lady Dorothy Blanche Boyle (c. 1860–1938), married Walter Long, 1st Viscount Long and had issue.
- Charles Spencer Boyle, 10th Earl of Cork & 10th Earl of Orrery (1861–1925)
- Robert John Lascelles Boyle, 11th Earl of Cork & 11th Earl of Orrery (1864–1934)
