The Riverfront Times (also known as the RFT) is an alternative newsweekly in St. Louis, Missouri, that consists of local politics, personals, a weekly column by Dan Savage, and arts and entertainment coverage.

The paper was founded in 1977 by Ray Hartmann who sold the newspaper in 1998 to New Times. In 2006, New Times Media took on the Village Voice Media name after merging with them. The paper has a weekly circulation of approximatley 100,000 copies.[citation needed]

The paper has received considerable recognition, including more than three dozen awards from the Missouri Press Association,[citation needed] along with the group's Gold Cup.[citation needed] It is widely distributed at various locations around the St. Louis area.
