Robert Carmine (born Robert Schwartzman on December 24, 1982) is the lead singer of the rock band Rooney. He has also acted in the films The Virgin Suicides, directed by his cousin Sofia Coppola, and The Princess Diaries.

He is the son of producer Jack Schwartzman and actress Talia Shire. His brother is Jason Schwartzman, also an actor and former drummer for the band Phantom Planet. As a member of the Hollywood Coppola family, one of his cousins is Nicolas Cage, and Francis Ford Coppola is his uncle. His maternal grandfather is Carmine Coppola, also the source of his stage name. There is speculation that Robert has reverted back to his "Schwartzman" name. His band's myspace labels him as Robert Schwartzman, and his band Rooney posted video previewing their upcoming album identifies him as Schwartzman as well.

Carmine attended Windward School in Los Angeles, California.
