Robert P. Murphy

Robert P. "Bob" Murphy (born 23 May 1976) is an Austrian School economist and anarcho-capitalist author.
Murphy completed his Bachelor of Arts in economics at Hillsdale College (1998) and his PhD in economics at New York University (2003). Murphy served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics at Hillsdale College in Michigan, USA, a role he relinquished in the Summer of 2006 when he moved back to New York City (before moving to Nashville, Tennessee). He is an adjunct scholar and frequent speaker at the Ludwig von Mises Institute. He has also written for LewRockwell.com. He is an adjunct scholar at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy.[1]
Murphy is married to Rachael Murphy (née Fajardo) with whom he has one son, Joel Clark Murphy.
- Chaos Theory (2002) - This short, self-published work is composed of two essays on market anarchy, one discussing the production of defense services, and one describing the provision of private criminal and civil justice.
- Minerva (2003) - This electronically published novel details the creation of a fictional anarchist society by the same name.
- The Politically Incorrect Guide to Capitalism (April 2007) - This book, published by Regnery Publishing, is another volume in the best-selling "Politically Incorrect" series.
Murphy has also designed a home study course in Austrian economics (2005), as well as a study guide for Murray Rothbard's Man, Economy and State (with Power and Market), with both being published and distributed by the Mises Institute.
