Rock Sound

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rock Sound is a British magazine which champions alternative music. The magazine aims at being more "underground" and less commercial. It covers the best new music from Mastodon to Modest Mouse, Slayer to Sigur Rós.

The UK edition of Rock Sound (also known as ROCKSOUND) was launched in March 1999 by the French publisher Editions Freeway, who already published the title in France. It managed to establish itself in a very competitive market and was bought out by its director, Patrick Napier, in December 2004 so it is now completely independent.

Rock Sound has just recorded it's fifth successive ABC increase which now stands at 23,254 (Jan-Jun 06 ABC). It is available on newsstands throughout the world.
