Rodney William Marsh (born Armadale, Perth, Western Australia November 4, 1947) was an Australian wicketkeeper.

He played First-class cricket for Western Australia and Test cricket for Australia. He was nicknamed Iron Gloves after an inauspicious Test debut against England in 1970/71, and Bacchus after the Victorian town of Bacchus Marsh. His elder brother is the Australian golfer Graham Marsh.

A remarkable 95 of his then world record of 355 dismissals were in combination with Dennis Lillee. He retired after the 1983/84 season where Greg Chappell and Lillee also played their final Tests. Marsh at the time of his retirement played an Australia record 96 Test matches. He was named Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1982. He was the first Australian wicketkeeper to score a century in Test cricket, and in the judgment of many, including biographer Mark Browning, was Australia's first great wicketkeeper/batsman.

  • An accomplished sledger: greeted Ian Botham when he walked out to bat during an Ashes test with the question: So how's your wife and my kids?
  • An accomplished drinker: held the record for the number of cans of lager consumed on the Sydney-London flight, with 48; later broken by team-mate David Boon, who drank 53 in 1985.
