Roger Crozier Saving Grace Award

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Roger Crozier Saving Grace Award is one of the National Hockey League's many trophies. First handed out at the conclusion of the 1999-00 season, it is given to the goaltender with the best save percentage, having played a minimum of 25 regular season games. It is named for former Detroit Red Wings and Buffalo Sabres goaltender Roger Crozier, who helped both teams reach the Stanley Cup finals.

Since the award's inception, Dallas Stars have won it on 3 occasions, while the Montreal Canadiens and the Minnesota Wild have each won it twice. Since the league began tracking save percentage as a statistic, the Buffalo Sabres and Montreal Canadiens have each finished atop the league 6 times.

The winner of the trophy is given $25,000 USD to donate to a youth hockey or other educational program of their choice.
