Roha

Roha is a small town 120 KM south east of Mumbai, India. Many chemical industries have opened up their manufacturing bases here. Roha is located between the banks of the Kundalika River and the hills of Kalasgiri. It has a population of over 90,000. Roha has had its share of famous personalities, including
- Shri Chintamanrao Deshmukh the first Indian Governor of Reserver bank, & finance minister in Jawahar lal Nehru's government was also from a small village near Roha, named Nata, near Fort Raigad, in Maharashtra.
- Late Shri Pandurang Shastri Athavale who was instrumental in running the Swadhyay Parivar promoting harmony and peace.
Roha is very well known for its Dhavir Temple. Every year this is an annual procession also known as "Palkhi" where thousands of people from far and near gather together for blessing of Shri Dhavir.
There are also hundreds of developing companies which may have a future in the city including the Mirage Hotel. These young companies are driven by hope of becoming big and there are many of them which have actually reached the city of Mumbai
Just 30 KM from Roha is a beautiful town of Murud Janjira.
Murud Janjira has a longest white sand beach close to Mumbai.
