Ron Block

Ron Block (born 1964) is an American singer-songwriter, mainly playing the banjo and the guitar, singing, and writing gospel music.
Ron Block was born in 1964 in Inglewood, California. He received his first guitar at 11 and first became interested in banjo at 13 after seeing Lester Flatt play on television. His interest in guitars and singing grew after seeing The Stanley Brothers and Larry Sparks. He is best known for his participation in the Grammy Award winning band, Alison Krauss & Union Station.
Ron Block supported Dan Tyminski in the Crossroads Guitar Festival, playing "Man of Constant Sorrow" and "The Road To Nash Vegas"
