Rory Kiely

Rory Kiely (born May 1934) is an Irish Fianna Fáil Party politician and member of the 22nd Seanad Éireann.

Kiely was first elected in 1977, to the 14th Seanad. He has been re-elected by the Agricultural Panel to every subsequent Seanad, except for the short-lived 16th Seanad in 1982. He is the current Cathaoirleach of Seanad Éireann.

Born in Feenagh, Kilmallock, County Limerick, he still lives in the area. A farmer, he is married to Eileen Kiely (née O'Connor) and has two sons and two daughters.
