In Scientology, a "Rundown" is the term created by L. Ron Hubbard to apply to a series of Scientology and/or Dianetics procedures designed to address a specific area in depth.

Contents

  • The Purification Rundown (Purf) is a detoxification program involving the use of saunas, exercise, vitamins, and consuming oils.
  • The Est Repair Rundown is a rundown designed for former members of Erhard Seminars Training, an organization created by Werner Erhard. According to the Church of Scientology, the rundown "corrects any damage caused by est's practices". [1]
  • The Introspection Rundown is a procedure that is intended to handle a psychotic break or complete mental breakdown. This rundown made worldwide headlines during the investigation of Lisa McPherson's death at the Fort Harrison Hotel.[2][3]
  • The Clear Certainty Rundown (CCRD) is a procedure in which the state of Clear is "validated and rehabilitated". Usually a short action of only a few hours. [1]
  • The False Purpose Rundown (FPRD) was first introduced in 1984 [4], although previously its principles were already in use in "Extended Dianetics". This rundown is specifically designed to detect "evil purposes or evil intentions." The False Purpose Rundown, often referred as the FPRD, is available as a service in most Scientology organizations. It is also in use by the so-called Rehabilitation Project Force (RPF).[5] Some critics of the Church of Scientology believe that this rundown has been falsified by David Miscavige and others, containing too many contradictions to have been written by Hubbard.[6]
  • The Super Power Rundown is described in the Dianetics and Scientology Technical Dictionary as "a super fantastic, but confidential series of rundowns that can be done on anybody whether Dn Clear or not that puts the person into fantastic shape unleashing Super Power of a thetan. This means that puts Scientologists into a new realm of ability enabling them to create a new world."[7] The Super Power Building is currently under construction in Clearwater, Florida for the specific purpose of administering this rundown.
