Russian-Armenian State University

Russian-Armenian State University (RAU) (also known as Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University) is located in Yerevan, Armenia in the Arabkir district. The University is managed both by the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia and has the status of higher state educational institutions of both states. The language of instruction and communication at the University is Russian.[1] The University was established in August 29, 1997. Beginning with one general department in 1999, RAU has grown rapidly and at present enrolls approximately 1,600 students at the departments of Law, Journalism, Economy, Informatics and Applied Mathematics, Political Science, Social-Cultural Service and Tourism, Physics and Engineering, Electronic and Microelectronics, Medical Biochemistry, Psychology, Theory and Methodology of Teaching Foreign Languages and Cultures, Philology, Bioengineering. and Bioinformatics.[2]
