Ryan Cochrane (born August 8, 1983 in Portland, Oregon) is an American football (soccer) player, who currently plays for Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer.

Cochrane played three years of college soccer at Santa Clara University, from 2001 to 2003. In his final year, Cochrane was named a second-team All American, and was a Hermann Trophy semifinalist.

Following his junior season, Cochrane signed a Project-40 contract with MLS, and entered the 2004 MLS SuperDraft, where he was selected 5th overall by his hometown San Jose Earthquakes. In his first year, Cochrane was largely a backup for Jeff Agoos and Troy Dayak, but finished the year with 18 starts and 1459 minutes. Along with the rest of his Earthquakes teammates, he moved to Houston for the 2006 season.

Cochrane has played for the U-18 and U-20 United States national soccer teams. With Chad Marshall, he anchored the defense of the U-20 team at the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship.
