The SEAT Inca was a panel van designed and assembled in Spain and based upon the SEAT Ibiza Mk. 2, with which it shared platform and front body. It was soon discontinued in favor of the badge-engineered Volkswagen Caddy, based on on the 3rd generation polo, given the Volkswagen Group had decided SEAT should be a brand sportive rather than popular. In spite of this, the Caddy was still made at the same factories as the Inca until it was discontinued in June of 2003.
