Sega-16 is a website founded by Puerto Rican English professor Ken Horowitz. The site has reviews, articles, master lists, and commercials for Sega's 16-bit console Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and its two add-ons, Sega/Mega CD and 32X. Sega-16 turned two years-old in June of 2006 and has been growing constantly, thanks in large measure to the many interviews with numerous key people in the Sega business of the early and mid '90s, as well as its forum, which currently boasts several hundred members.
People that have been interviewed by Sega-16 include the former Sega of America presidents Michael Katz and Tom Kalinske, former Virgin Games Vice President of Worldwide Development Dr. Stephen Clarke-Willson, Super Fighter Team president Brandon Cobb, Bubsy creator Mike Berlyn, artist Boris Vallejo, author and game historian Steven L. Kent, programming legend David Perry, game music composer Tommy Tallarico and Desert Strike designer Mike Posehn.
These interviews, combined with the many in-depth features on different aspects of the 1990s video game industry, have helped Sega-16 become one of the main resources for historical information on Sega Genesis and its two add-ons on the Internet.
