Saara is a German municipality in the Thuringian Landkreis of Altenburger Land.

Communities near Saara are the City of Altenburg, Altkirchen, the City of Gößnitz, Nobitz, the City of Schmölln, and Ziegelheim in the Landkreis of Altenburger Land; as well as Schönberg and Oberwiera in the Saxon Landkreis of Chemnitzer Land.
