Sabak Bernam

Sabak Bernam is a district of Selangor, Malaysia. It is situated to the northwest of Selangor. It is bordered by the state of Perak to the north, Hulu Selangor to the east, Kuala Selangor to the south, and the Straits of Malacca to the west. Bernam River forms its border with Perak. Towns in Sabak Bernam include Sabak and Sekinchan.
The district is mainly a paddy growing area. As such, Sabak Bernam's main economic activity is agriculture.
Bagan Nakhoda Omar is a little-known beach. Located in the Sabak Bernam district, the beach is accessible by a road that will take you through several traditional villages. That itself is already an eye-opening experience. A quiet getaway, Bagan Nakhoda has a good combination of sun, sand and sea, the no-frills way. For meals, you can check out the hawker stalls at the beach and have your meals accompanied by a refreshing breeze.
Visitors are welcome at a number of batik factories and the night market unique and peculiar to the district. Tourists may also savour seafood at several warung ikan bakar (grilled fish stalls).
