Sandra Shaw

Sandra Shaw (1914 – February 16, 2000) was an American actress, born in Brooklyn, New York as Veronica Balfe.

Her father was governor of the New York Stock Exchange, and her uncle was Cedric Gibbons. When she was 19, she she played a bit part in the movie No Other Woman. Her most widely seen role was in King Kong, as the woman dropped by Kong. Her third and final movie was Blood Money.

She married the actor Gary Cooper on December 15, 1933, and is the mother of actor Maria Cooper.

Following Cooper's death in 1961, she married Dr. John Converse, who died in 1981. Shaw lived in retirement until her death in New York City from natural causes.
