Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

At the start of Day 4, Sarah is an analyst at CTU, working closely with Chloe O'Brian, Edgar Stiles, and Marianne Taylor. When Marianne, a mole at CTU working for the company McLennan-Forrester, believes her cover to be threatened, she plants evidence implicating Sarah as the mole, and Sarah is promptly taken into custody.

When Sarah denies any knowledge of this, CTU Director Erin Driscoll authorizes the use of torture to get her to cooperate. Edgar eventually discovers evidence revealing Marianne as the true mole and Sarah is released.

Sarah would later demand promotion from Driscoll as compensation for her ordeal. Driscoll appears receptive to this demand though she steps down as director of CTU later that day for personal reasons. When Sarah attempts to make the same demand from Driscoll's replacement, Michelle Dessler, Michelle relieves her of duty, unwilling to deal with Sarah's personal disputes in the midst of a national crisis. Chloe (who had been relieved of duty by Driscoll for insubordination earlier that day) is reinstated to replace her.

Sarah has not been mentioned or seen since her dismissal, and her current whereabouts are unknown.
