666 Satan, renamed O-Parts Hunter in the English language editions, is a manga published by Enix (later Square Enix) under its Monthly Shonen Gangan imprint, and created by Seishi Kishimoto, the younger twin brother of Masashi Kishimoto, creator of the highly popular manga series Naruto. The series draws heavily on Kabbalistic traditions, Judeo-Christian demonology, and Japanese folklore for its plot. Despite Viz Media changing the title, contents remain unedited as the first volume was released. An anime is soon to be expected by the end of the year, as announced and comfirmed by Seishi Kishimoto in an an article of the anime magazine, Animeland.[1]
Ruby Crescent is an ordinary girl, who likes to go out with boys and shop. Her life is changed dramatically when her father dies and she becomes a treasure hunter as he was. Her objective is to find O-Parts: magical items hidden under the ground which grant people superhuman powers and can only be used by an O.P.T. (O-Part Tactician) or an Angel or Devil. She soon meets a mysterious boy named Jio who, due to having a dark, lonely past, seeks to conquer the world. Jio is hostile to her at first, but ends up travelling with Ruby as her bodyguard. When Ruby is attacked by an O.P.T. claiming to be Satan, Jio rushes to her rescue and a battle occurs. Initially they are on the losing side, but Jio releases his true power and is revealed to be not only an O.P.T., but the real Satan. Thus, the two continue to travel together in hopes of unlocking their pasts.

Throughout the entire 666 Satan universe, there are angels and demons (some of which are sealed within humans) with amazing powers, all of which are being searched for by the Stea Republic (angels) and the Zenom Organization (demons) in order to awaken what is assumed to be a weapon within a Kabbalah and a reverse Kabbalah that are found on the North and South Pole respectively.
In the case of the Stea Government, almost all of the angels have been found and inserted into the kabbalah, with two uncaptured angels being protagonists in the main storyline.

O-Parts are 'artifacts' found throughout the world of 666 Satan. They are mainly used as weapons and also as transportation for some people. the only people who are able to use O-Parts are people called O.P.T.(O-Part Tacticians), these people are able to release their 'spirit energy' and focus it into the O-Part, where in the O-Part then absorbs the spirit, then use's it as fuel to activate it's effect which can range from fire to teleportation.

This manga and it's characters have similar traits to the manga series Naruto, for which the creator is Seishi's twin brother, Masashi. When 666 Satan was released in Japan it was accused of being a copycat to Naruto. This can be explained by the fact that they are brothers, so have similar influences and therefore styles. Both mangakas where deeply influenced by Dragon Ball and incorporated many elements from it into their own stories.
Examples of similarities include:
- Hard childhood is important for the storyline, both Naruto's and 666 Satan's protagonists start out without friends because of the demons inside of them.
- Both protagonists in each manga have a very powerful demon inside of them, such as Naruto's Nine-Tailed Fox and Jio's Satan.
- They have certain physical appearaces of the demon (Naruto's whiskers, eyes and canines and Jio's half white hair and different colored eyes), are able to 'talk' with their demon, and are able to use some of their demon's power (Naruto can use Kyuubi's chakra and Jio can use Devil's Mark).
- Both Naruto and Jio cannot control their demon.
- Both stories also have organizations trying to capture these demons.
- Also, both series consist of several parts separated by time-skips. (This is, however featured in more manga series).
