Sathyam, titled 'Desanikokkadu in Telugu, (2007) is a forthcoming Tamil film project, to be simultaneously shot in Telugu, directed by debutant Rajasekhar, an associate of Suresh Krishna[[1]]. The film stars Vishal and he is set to don a role of a Police Inspector for the first time. Trisha Krishnan will play the role of the lead lady. Kannada actor, Upendra, will essay the role of the main antagonist. The film's score and soundtrack are composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film is set to be released in 2007. This film is produced by Vikram Krishna.

  • Vishal Reddy has been training hard for this role, pumping iron into his slender muscles. He has also sported a neat short-cropped hairstyle to look like a serious law-abiding police official. This is the first time he is undergoing image makeover for a film in order not to be stereotyped as an action hero[[2]].

Vishal Reddy's brother, Vikram Krishna Reddy, the film's producer, has revealed that the film is about an police encounters, a very prominent issue regarding the laws of India[[3]]. Hence, the protagonist's role runs parallel to that of Surya's in Kaaka Kaaka[[4]].
