Saved From the Titanic is a 1912 silent film starring Dorothy Gibson, an actual Titanic survivor. It was the first film made showing the Titanic disaster, released only one month after the sinking. The movie was shot in less than two weeks and in black and white, with color scenes. Believed lost since 1914, due to a fire at Eclair Studio.
The movie was one of the first to use color. Although it was filmed in black and white for the most part, two scenes were shot in Kinemacolor: the scene that depicts Dorothy returning to her parents after she was presumed dead and the final scene in which her father gives her to her fiance in marriage.
