Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Phil Weston (played by Will Ferrell), is an average person who has had to endure his father Buck's over-competitiveness throughout his childhood. For example when Phil announces he's getting married, Buck announces the very same thing. On the day that Phil's son, Sam, is born, so is Buck's second son, Bucky. Bucky weighs 7 pounds 7 ounces while Sam weighs 7 pounds 6 ounces and as Buck says "Just a little bit bigger." Phil decides to coach his son's recreational soccer team, and soon finds that he's inherited his father's desire to win.

With assistant coach, Mike Ditka (played by himself), Phil and his team go head-to-head with the best team of the league, headed by Buck (played by Duvall). With old scores to settle, Phil and Buck go to desperate lengths to win the championship.

Tagline: All his life Phil Weston has dreamed of being on a winning team. Phil... your time has come.

Alternate Tagline: Only one man can lead this team to victory, but that man was busy.

One nomination:
