"Shelter from the Storm" is a song by Bob Dylan, released on his 15th studio album Blood on the Tracks in 1975.

The song originated when Dylan heard Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Who'll Stop the Rain," which featured the lines: "I went down Virginia, seekin' shelter from the storm."[citation needed]

Within the song there is a strong religeous and messianic theme, for example in the line: "in a little hilltop village, they gambled for my clothes. I bargained for salvation, but they gave me a lethal dose. I offered up my innocence, got repaid with scorn. 'Come in' She said, 'I'll give you shelter from the storm.'"
