Shoji Nishimura (November 30, 1889 - October 24, 1944) was a Japanese Vice Admiral who died in the Battle of Leyte Gulf. In development of plan A-Go, Nishimura guided unlucky way the division of batlleships FusÅ and Yamashiro, also heavy cruiser Mogami plus destroyers. They were sunk by radar-fire from american ships in Surigao Strait in a true execution on the night in the third phase of Battle of Leyte Gulf. Both Japanese battleships were sunk; all hands died aboard Fuso, with only 10 survivors from Yamashiro. Nishimura wasn't one of the survivors.
