IMDb profile

Showdown in Little Tokyo is a film released in 1991. It features Brandon Lee in his first American film role, starring alongside Dolph Lundgren. Set in Los Angeles, California, two police officers attempt to take down a new and deadly Japanese drug gang. It is an action movie with sequences of martial arts.

  • There are two references to Dolph's large penis size.
  • Brandon Lee's character is named Murata (a Japanese surname), yet his character's father is caucasian ("a white guy, a dentist", as Johnny Murata refers to him) while his mother is the one of Japanese descent. Technically, Brandon Lee's character shouldn't have a Japanese surname.
  • In answer to a compliment on his house, Dolph responds, "I built it."
  • Tia's nude scenes are, apparently, performed by a body double.

  • The Yakuza who kills himself in the interrogation room can be seen later in the film.
  • During the scene where a Yakuza is about to be crushed by a car compacter, he is obviously replaced by a very cheap-looking dummy. The same happens in the scene where a drugged blond entertainer is beheaded after being stripped and fondled by the Yakuza boss.
  • At one point, Dolph sneaks up on a Yakuza and breaks his neck, but as he is lowering him quietly to the ground, the supposedly dead guy reaches up and grabs Dolph's arm--presumably to keep from falling too hard.
