Sick can mean:
- These meanings came from the Anglo-Saxon sēoc = "ill".
- Used in the same manner as disgusting
- Sadistic, used to describe a sickening person or situation, i.e. one whose actions or circumstances invoke a sickening feeling, whether it be physical or mental.
- In British and Australian English slang: awesome, good. Popularised by Pizza (TV series) in Australia. Popular among youth in Britain.
- Used in the same manner as "cool", "wicked", "fun", or "awesome" by some English and American youths.
- An order given to a dog, as in "sick him!", meaning to attack. This meaning is derived from the word "seek".
