Sinisa Ubiparipovic (born August 25, 1983 in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia) is a forward/midfielder for Red Bull New York of Major League Soccer.
Red Bull selected Ubiparipovic in the third round of the 2007 MLS SuperDraft (33rd overall).[1]
A native of Zenica, his family fled to Belgrade, Serbia to escape the Bosnian War, and then eventually to the United States in 1999.[2]
Ubiparipovic began his collegiate career at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2002, before transferring to Akron University, where he played from 2004 to 2006. At Akron, he was named an NSCAA All-American his last two years, and was the 2006 Mid-American Conference Player of the Year.[3]
