Skin pack
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Skin pack, or skin packaging, is a type of packaging where a product (or products) is placed on a piece of cardboard, and a thin sheet of plastic is placed over the product and cardboard. The plastic is affixed to exposed cardboard via heat and suction, ensuring a tight molded fix around the product. The skin packed piece then may need to be cut into individual units.
Skin packaging somewhat resemble blister pack, with the major difference being that the plastic surrounding the product is formed over the product, instead of beind performed.
