Solidaridad is a Dutch ecumenical development agency founded in 1969. Its main objective is the promotion of social justice, for which it runs three programs:

  • Fairtrade, for economic justice, with coffee, tropical fruits and cotton/textiles as sub-programs;
  • Impunity Watch, for political justice, with a special focus on political-military atrocities in Guatemala, Peru, Colombia and Brazil and the need for justice; and
  • Globalization from the Poor, for cultural and religious justice, with a specific focus on the experiences of indigenous and black communities and grassroot churches in South America.
