The Social Solidarity (Al-Takaful) party is an Egyptian Islamist party with a membership of around 970 members. The party presses for achieving solidarity among all sects of the Egyptian people.
The party nominated its head, Dr. Osama Shaltout, to run for Egypt's first multi-candidate presidential polls. The party fielded some five candidates to run for the 2000 legislative elections.

The party platform calls for:

  • Ensuring citizens' right to run for the presidential post.
  • Electing a nominate for the Vice-President post.
  • Freedom of obtaining information.
  • Achieving solidarity among the Egyptian people.
