While a lot of songs have typical Per characteristics (the lyrical romance and clever key changes), overall it has some of the feel of the Beatles White Album. The double album can appear to be a selfish way of producing many tracks, however the genius and beauty within it is undeniable.

The tracks are generally musically simple, but unbelievably catchy. The listener is constantly wondering what will happen with Jo-Anna and the Beatles references can be heard in the music as well as the song including their name in the title. Party In My Head demonstrates Per's love of rhyming verses and keeps you guessing what the next line will be in order to rhyme with the previous one. A delightful song to listen to, accompanied with what appears to be simple music, but is actually rythmically more complex.

The tracks include hooks that get you in, be it the guitar riffs or lyrical repetition (such as in Jo-Anna Says). In between the main tracks there are some 1 minute long instrumentals that lead into the following song. There is also a hidden track which is a reprise of Jo-Anna Says, that comes after 10 minutes of silence at the end of the album.
