Haji Moula Bakhsh Soomro of Shikarpur was the chief Sardar of Soomro clan during the 1970's. He was a member of Pakistan National Assembly. Since his death, there has not been a recognized Sardar. However, prominent Soomro figures are Illahi Bakhsh Soomro son of Haji Moula Bakhsh, a member of parliament and speaker of National Assembly, and Muhammad Mian Soomro, chairman of Senate of Pakistan, who is grandson of Haji Moula Bakhsh. Now the mother of Muhammad Mian Soomro, Begum Saeeda Soomro, is the District Nazim of Jacobabad from 2005. Chief Sardar Mohammad Usman Soomro born in Febrary in 1902 in his Village Mohammad Hashim Soomro. In 1921 Sardar Usman Soomro elected Member of Local Educational Board of Thatta. He also elected Member District Local Board Karachi in 1925.Chief Sardar M Usman Soomro elected Member of Legislative Assembly in 1937 and remain member till 1945 at that time The Chief Minister Of Sindh was Khan Bhadur Shaheed Allah Bux Soomro. Chief Sardar M Usman Soomro elected Chairman of District School Local Karachi in 1936 and remain Chairman upto 1940. In 1942 at Shikarpur Chief Sardar M Usman Soomro Selected Chief Of Soomra Tribe Chief Sardar M Usman Soomro died on 2nd May 1970 in Thatta. After His death His Elder Son Chief Sardar Haji Mohammad Ali Soomro Became the Chief Of Soomro Tribe in 1970.He remain Chief Of Soomro Trobe for the period of 32 years. Chief Sardar Haji Mohammad Ali Soomro take part in Election of 1988 for the Provicial Seat but cannot won it. Chief Sardar Haji Mohammad Ali Soomro died on 24 October 2001 and He died at the age of 69 years And Political responesbilties take by Late Chief Sardar M Usman Soomro third son Late Mohammad Khan Soomro who born on 9th November 1937. Mohammad Khan Soomro Passed his Matric Exam from Sindh University Goverment High School Thatta in 1957. In 1964 He got Graduation Degree in B.A From Sindh Muslim College Karachi and M.A and L.L.B From Karachi University and S.M Law College in 1966. Mohammad Khan Soomro serviced as Examinar in State Bank Of Pakistan. In Election of 1970 Mohammad Khan Soomro elected Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA)and then in 1972 He seleted Adviser to Governor of Planning and Development and then again in Election of 1973 Mohammad Khan Soomro Elected Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) also seleted Minister of Planning, Development and Jails. Mohammad Khan Soomro Elected Member of National Assembly (MNA) In 1977. Mohammad Khan Soomro died on 17th November 1990 at the age of 53. After His Death His son Dr. Abdul Wahid Soomro take the responesbilities Dr. Abdul Wahid Soomro born in Thatta on 21st October in 1962. Dr. Abdul Wahid Soomro got is early education in Primary School of Thatta then in 1975 Abdul Wahid Soomro went to Cadet College Petaro and studied upto Class Inter (12th), then passed B.Sc From University Of Sindh and Passed M.B.B.S From Liaquat Medical Collegein year 1989. Dr.Abdul Wahid Soomro is also a Member Of Provincial Assembly of the Sindh from PS-69 and also Selected Minister of Health and remain Minister upto 1996. Then On 3rd Febrary 1997.[[ Dr. Abdul Wahid Soomro became Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA)From the ticket of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). He then became Member of Provincial Assembly of the PPP in 1999-2000,He started his political career in his college life. After the death of Chief Sardar Haji Mohammad Ali Soomro in October 24,2001, his elder son Sardar Haji Abdul Karim Soomro became the Chief Sardar Of Soomro Tribe in March 9th,2002in His village Mohammad Hashim Soomro. Being the Leader Of Soomro Tribe He over come many problems of Soomro. Chief Sardar Haji Abdul Karim Soomro has visited many places of Sindh and Punjab for the sack of His Nation.
