Soul Assassins

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Soul Assassins are a loose collective of musicians and graphic artists affiliated to the hiphop group Cypress Hill, formed in the early 90s. It is also the name of Cypress Hill's publishing company.

In 1997 and 2000 two albums under the name Soul Assassins were released. Both albums featured an army of rappers and both were almost entirely produced by Cypress Hill's beatsmith DJ Muggs, with minor contributions by The Alchemist (three songs) and DJ Khalil (one song) on the second volume. A third volume is in the making and was announced to be released in 2007 on DJ Muggs' new label Angeles Records.

Soul Assassins are not connected in any way to the 80s UK hiphop group Assassins With Soul.
