Southern Asia Bible College more commonly known as SABC is one of Asia's largest Bible college. It is located in a vast area of 21 acres in the city of Bangalore, India.

SABC established in the year 1951 is run by the Assemblies of God, SABC operates under the guidance of a Board of Directors which consist of leaders representing the Assemblies of God constituencies in Southern Asia and the Assemblies of God World Mission internationally.Graduate course in theology was introduced in the year 1958, and batchelors deegree was also introduced in the year 1974.

Southern Asia Bible College is the premier theological training institutions of the Assemblies of God in Southern Asia. Founded by Alfred Cawston in 1951 as 'Southern Asia Bible Institute' with a vision to prepare men and women for the work of Christian ministry in Southern Asia with a handful of students, today it has grown to be one of the largest theological institutions in Asia with over 300 students.

In its early stages this institution offered only a three-year course, namely, Certificate in Theology. The Graduate in Theology course was introduced in 1958, and the Bachelor of Theology course was started in 1970. The college introduced the Master of Divinity (formerly B.D.) programme in 1974.

Southern Asia Bible College is an active member of The Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFI) Asia Theological Association (ATA) and The Assemblies of God Association for Theological Education in Southern Asia (AGATESA). The degree programs (B.Th. and M.Div.) are fully accredited by Asia Theological Association.

The Vision of SABC is to see God glorified in Southern Asia through the transforming ministry of anointed and equipped servant leaders. This is accomplished by developing leaders for the transforming ministry of the Church in Southern Asia through quality residential and open education with a pentecostal emphasis.

SABC is situated in the twenty-one acre campus is located on the sylvan outskirts of Bangalore. There is residential facility for 150 single men, 50 single ladies and 12 apartments for married students. There are also adequate number of lecture halls, A large auditorium for community functions, a multi-media conference facility, a beautiful chapel for times of corporate worship, a multi-purpose games field and sports room, a spacious cafeteria, residences for faculty and staff, a guest-house for visiting faculty and others. We are constantly working at upgrading our facilities.

The Cawston Learning Resource Centre, a modern, state-of-the-art computerised learning resource facility, with more than 40,000 volumes of Books, periodicals, and other audio-visual resources has enhanced the learning facility. The Mission Resource Center and the Pentecostal Study Center cater to specific interest groups in training.

SABC offers the following programs:

Master of Divinity, a three-year(six semester) degree programme designed for graduates of recognised Universities.

Bachelor of Theology, a three-year(six semester) degree programme designed for those qualified for university education.

Diploma in Christian Ministry, a one-year(two-semester) diploma programme designed for mature candidates involovedin christian Ministry.

The Distance Learning Department of SABC offers Bachelor of Theology and Master of Divinity programs by distance learning. Efforts are underway to launch internet based elearning programs.

SABC boasts of a very fine faculty with academic excellence, a deep passion for ministry and a strong commitment to mentor young men and women in their ministerial formation. Southern Asia Bible College has endeavoured to maintain a high academic standard, combined with a vital spiritual emphasis and practical ministerial experience. As of now, more than two thousand five hundred alumni of SABC serve God in various ministries throughout Southern Asia and elsewhere.
