The International Academy of Sport Science and Technology (AISTS) is a multi-field high education and reasearch centre in Lausanne, the Olympic Capital.
The International Academy of Sports Science and Technology is a network of research and education based in Lausanne, the Olympic Capital. The AISTS is incorporated as a foundation (art 80ss, Swiss law), co-founded in 2000 by the following institutions: City of Lausanne, International Olympic Committee (IOC), École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), University of Geneva, University of Lausanne, Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration (IDHEAP), Swiss University of Applied Sciences in Valais and the Canton of Vaud. The AISTS develops and applies knowledge to the study of sports in connection with biology, medicine, technology, law, economics, logistics, management and sociology, to name just a few. The AISTS activities are built on the following three academic pillars: continuing education, postgraduate education and research. The AISTS offers education programs, including the multidisciplinary “Master of Advanced Studies in Sports Administration and Technology” co-signed by EPFL, Uni. Geneva, Uni. Lausanne and IDHEAP. Every year, it attracts graduate students and professionals from all continents (85% of the students are not Swiss).
