There are numerous student run councils and clubs, in addition to School Teams. Generally, Clubs have some form of student executive, comprised of a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, at the most basic level. The six major councils, which are represented at President's Council are: Student Council, Athletic Council, DECA, OSAID, Matt 25, and HEART. The following is a description of some of the councils and their mandate.

Student Council- Represents the Student population of St. Augustine. The Council is comprised of a President (generally a Grade 12 student), Vice- Presidents, Council Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Minister of Public Relations, Grade Representatives and Technology Advisors, responsible for maintaining the council website. The Council also has a teacher advisor, currently Ms. L Remedios. Student Council elections for the next school year are held May/June of the previous school year. Notable Student Council Activities include: Themed Dance (A Latin themed dance for the 2006/2007 school year, with Brother Andre), Semi-Formal (Willy Wonka themed, on February 23), Spirit Weeks (Activities on stage, during lunches). The President for the 2006-2007 school year is Marina Guirguis.

Athletic Council- Represents the School Team players. Athletic Council is responsible for hosting Pep Rally and Athletic Banquet, an event for all school team members. In addition, they actively participate in fund raising for events outside of school, which teams must travel to. Athletic Council executive comprises a President, Vice- President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Grade Representatives, who are selected through a series of interviews with the President and Administration. The current President is Adam Haick.

DECA@SACHS- An Affiliated Council of DECA Ontario. DECA@SACHS is a business oriented council, where members participate in fund raising and apply their business skills to real life situations. A cornerstone of this council is the heavy emphasis placed on role plays. These are scenarios, similar to an improvised scene, where the student takes on the role of an employee/ manager in a store, dealing with business related matters. As a member of DECA Ontario, DECA@SACHS attends the Ontario Provincials, which are a competition where DECA students from all over Ontario demonstrate their Business Skills in role plays. This year, several students placed within the top 20 for events in their categories. The executive council comprises a President, Vice- Presidents, Treasurer, Secretary and General Executives. The 2006-2007 President is Stanley Chung. Currently, the Teacher Advisor Committee is composed of Mrs. P Brizzi, Mr. A Sinisi, and Ms. V Crupi.

DECA was established in the 2002-2003 school year by Mr. G Adorante. Over the years, interest in the council has steadily increased, with an overall membership level of 50 students in the 2006-2007 school year.

OSAID- An anti-drunk driving initiative which is a branch of MADD Canada. This Council encourages the student population to practise responsible drinking and never to drive while under the influence of alcohol. OSAID regularly holds Anti-Drinking activities, such as a Chain of Hope, or stage events. The Council has also initiated a charity Fashion Show, which will be the first such event held at St. Augustine. The Current President is Antoinette Falco. Mrs. P Brizzi also participates on this Council as the Teacher Advisor.
