St. Bonaventure High School is a private, Catholic, co-educational secondary school in Ventura, California. It is owned by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The school is named in honor of Bonaventure, the Patron of the Mission San Buenaventura and the City of Ventura.

St. Bonaventure is recognized for its outstanding athletic program, especially in football. Playing in the Channel League, where St. Bonaventure is the only private school in a league of public school teams, St. Bonaventure has never lost a league football game since being admitted in 2002. St. Bonaventure has won six CIF-SS titles since 1999, including three in Division IV.

St. Bonaventure has recently caused controversy due to the transfer of junior Darrell Scott from Moorpark High School.[1] Scott is among top running back prospects of the 2008 high school class in the United States, rushing for 3,194 yards and 49 touchdowns in his junior season.[2] His mother and stepfather reportedly “shopped their kid around”, inquiring several Los Angeles area high schools with elite football programs – among them Hart and Oaks Christian – about an enrollment of Darrell, before he ended up at St. Bonaventure.[3] With Scott and fellow junior, offensive lineman Vaughn Dotsy, St. Bonaventure figures to have one of the best football squads in California.
