St. Louis Regional Airport (IATA: ALNICAO: KALNFAA LID: ALN) is a public airport located in Bethalto, Illinois, four miles (6 km) east of the central business district (CBD) of Alton, in Madison County. The airport serves the Greater St. Louis area. It was originally known as Civic Memorial Airport when it opened in 1964.

With an average of over 90,000 operations per year, St. Louis Regional is one of Illinois' busiest airports. The airport has an 8100 by 150 ft (2469 by 46 m) primary runway that runs roughly east-west (11/29) and a 6500 by 100 ft (1981 by 30 m) crosswind runway that runs north-south (17/35). With an ILS instrument approach and tower-controlled class D airspace, the facility can accommodate aircraft as large as a Boeing 747. The 2300 acre (9.3 km²) airfield sits at 544 ft (166 m) MSL.

Its operations are paid for by funds appropriated from those who own real property in the Madison Country townships of Wood River, Alton, Foster and Fort Russell. This airport taxation district was created in 1946.

In the spring of 2004, the airport was at the center of scandal when its recently-retired manager Marion Richardson and other current and former employees were investigated for suspicion of misappropriation of airport property.

St. Louis Regional Airport covers 2,250 acres and has two runways:

  • Runway 11/29: 8,101 x 150 ft. (2,469 x 46 m), Surface: Asphalt
  • Runway 17/35: 6,500 x 100 ft. (1,981 x 30 m), Surface: Asphalt
